The best accolade any business can receive is the recommendation of its service to other people.

At the Ratcatchers we welcome your comments, whether good or details on where we can improve. To value and achieve excellence is one milestone, to keep at that level
and go further is another milestone altogether.

That is our aim.

I have been going to this restaurant for years, it is very welcoming, small and homely. The food is made to order so no frozen food here! The specials boards sit about the fireplace and they are always worth a look, the main menu does not change that much but due to the varied choice of the specials it doesn't need to. The fish is always very good and always so fresh and the steaks come out on sizzling plates, mouth watering! the desserts are also fantastic as is the real ales and great selection of wines. I have never had a bad meal there and have been many, many times. you wont be disappointed

Customer review on the Trip Advisor

Named after the first guest to stay when this building was converted to an inn, The Ratcatchers Inn provides award winning home cooked cuisine within a welcoming atmosphere.

Which is longer, the 12-page menu or the list of awards and accolades? Anyway, you are always assured of wholesome food freshly prepared and cooked on site. The menu caters for all tastes and includes many varied vegetarian options plus, there is up to 20 additional daily specials from the board.

The homely appeal of the Ratcatchers Inn is further enhanced by the décor which has a farmhouse kitchen style - simple wooden tables and chairs with a fresh flower centrepiece create an informal and relaxing atmosphere; a sense of visiting friends for a great meal. It is advisable to book, especially at weekends.

The Mobile Food Guide

If awards be the root of all success Ratcatchers in Cawston has to be well ahead of the field, and its many enthusiastic regulars would not dispute that for one moment. The major passion at Ratcatchers is the food with specific criteria laid down, particularly regarding the sourcing of a majority of ingredients within a forty mile radius. The result is a pub that can be packed to the rafters on busy days, but yes, they do take bookings.

Smoked bacon, Norfolk button mushrooms and Cambozola cheese cooked in a pot and topped with a puff pastry lid make starters that could hardly be bettered. Local sausages are served with creamy mashed potatoes with a rich onion and red wine gravy, vegetarian choices are popular and if all else fails there is always the Ratcatcher's legendary steak and kidney pie, all of which require good-sized plates to accommodate the substantial helpings. The all home made dessert menu is fantastic.
